This is the second ANKER [Upgraded Version] USB C Hub Adapter, 5-in-1 USB C Adapter with 4K USB C to HDMI, Ethernet Port, 3 USB 3 ports I have purchased through Amazon.ca. Works well with my Microsoft Surface Pro 7 — Fits the ports in my Targus Cover — have absolutely no qualms in recommending this product. The product price was reduced from my first purchase and Amazon delivered on time, product in great shape — I don’t believe you can ask for more.

Tested all ports but I solely use the USB A connectors daily (TimeMachine backup to portable HDD). All working fine without any issues. The only gripe is that it does get warm just by being connected to the computer. Seems to emit from the RJ45 (network cable) port. I just unplug when I don’t need to use the adapter.

Unlike some other hubs I tried from lesser brands, this Anker unit immediately connects HDMI and USB. I do not use the ethernet port, so I cannot comment on it’s performance, but another Anker USB-A hub I own has great ethernet speeds. This unit feels solid, the braided cable feels appropriately secure and nice to touch, and like I said, it just works. Using it with my Razer Blade Advanced to dock to keyboard, mouse, monitor and microphone, and it has been 100% reliable over about a month of daily use.EDIT – USB-C connection became unreliable after 2 months of daily use. I contacted Anker support. As always, they were quick to answer and eager to help. I spoke with customer service in the morning, and the replacement arrived that very night. Replacement works perfectly. They even let me keep the old one as a spare. Anker support has never let me down!

This thing is tiny and works great with my laptop. No complaints. However, if you plan to use this for your monitor, make sure your laptop supports DisplayPort. My Asus has a HDMI port on the laptop, so I thought I could use this to attach a second monitor…but my laptop does not support DisplayPort so it won’t work.Oh well, works with my other laptop which is really why I bought it.

This works well. Have a monitor, keyboard, mouse and network cable hooked up. All of the work well. I looks good and is built solidly. I don’t like the design having ports o both sides as well as the end as it makes laying out cables neatly a challenge. I have a different one with the network on the end and all the other ports on one side- it’s much cleaner to layout cables with, especially if connected to a side port on the laptop. One issue is that it seems to interfere with my Logitech Unifying adapter. When the laptop is connected to this, my mouse has to be 12-18″ away from the receiver to connect. When away from this hub, the range is many feet.Overall, if you don’t have a Unifying receiver, it’s a good option. A bit pricey though.

I ordered the hub over 6 months ago and when I used it with my Mac Mini, I noticed that one of the usb ports was not functioning properly. I contacted customer service and received a replacement item within less than a week; WOW.I highly recommend the hub. A great product backed by Anker awesome customer service.

Too many of these lack sufficient horsepower to power two usb devices , let alone 3, concurrently, such as a USB drive and a cellphone. This one has the guts sufficient to charge a phone and power an external USB drive, easily. I always have at least two devices linked up to this, without incident.Definitely worth it.

I love this product! It not only works with my MacBook Air but also my iPad Pro. Software updates over WiFi can be excruciatingly slow so I needed this device to connect directly to my gigabit Ethernet. Throughput was approximately ten times better using the hard link than the WiFi. The USB ports are ideal for things like USB drives. The HMDI port provides brilliant video performance. Applications for this adapter abound, whether as a valuable adjunct for a road warrior or just someone like me who needs the high bandwidth only a wired Ethernet connection can provide. Highly recommended.

Though Anker provides other hubs with more expansion options, I was only looking for one that had USB 3.0, HDMI, and ethernet ports to add expansion to my USB-C-only 16″ MacBook Pro. More specifically, I wanted one with a small footprint, and this one was perfect. The product images are accurate regarding size and design. It’s compact with solid aluminum construction. It also feels substantial in your hands because it has good weight and feels very premium.I was tempted to try other solutions that cost a little less than this model, but I already have a few Anker products that have been working great over the years so I decided on the trusted brand. The form factor of this 5-in-1 hub was another main detail I was looking for. Awesome product!

Amazing customer service! After I returned the one I bought (it was getting too hot and My Laptop had crashed a couple of times), they offered me a free one for me to give it another try. The second one was great, thus, I update my review:The temperature is normal while connecting a monitor via HDMI, a USB3 external hard drive, LAN cable, and a keyboard, simultaneously! All the connections are smooth and no issues so far!More detail:- The LAN connection is smooth and the speed test shows the max speed of my home internet plan (300 Mbps). I work on the cloud all the time, and so far, I am satisfied with the connection speed. – I transferred large files with a speed of up to 75 MB/s using the USB 3 port (max expected =100 MB/s).- Connecting my Surface Book 3 using HDMI to a 27″ FHD monitor, and everything looks great!Hope this helps!
