    I paired this with an Anker “PowerPort III 65W charger with cable”. So far I’m just using the Ethernet connection, but I bought this to also add a camera later and perhaps some storage. The Chromecast recognized the Ethernet port, and stopped using the wireless connection when it connected via Ethernet. Stuttering of video streaming was frequent, and really annoying when watching hockey (a few times per minute) over wireless. That’s almost completely gone with this hub’s wired connection to the point of being rare now. Ping times with short and long packets went from 200-400mS to a consistent 1mS! It does what I was hoping it would do.

    Especially no a days when laptops don’t some with HDMI or even Ethernet, this hub comes in real handy, allows me to quickly connect my Surface or even Android phone to a local Lan via ethernet to get online or to project over HDMI. It’s entirely made out of aluminum (or some sort of metallic material), I’m more afraid of it damaging my devices than it being damaged.It’s a little on the pricier side, but it’s good!

    I like it when I don’t want to use the adapter and need mutiple devices plugged in its perfect. Gigabyte connection is important for when I’m at work.

    So far, so good. Anker is a quality product and I’ve never been disappointed. It’s a bit more expensive than no-name products, but you get what you pay for. My last USB C hub, which was no-name died after 6 weeks.

    Love it’s compact and lightweight nature. Great build quality. Needed it primarily for the Ethernet port, and HDMI and having both USB-A and C ports are very handy. Does get warm but had no issues.

    I was looking for a USB-C hub that was “small”, and would have an Ethernet, HDMI, USB-C&A, and PD ports. This Anker checked the boxes. I’m using the PD to power my M1 with the original power supply that came with the M1 – no problems there. I had some initial problems getting my HP 25xi monitor to work with my M1 but that was completely resolved by replacing the HDMI cable. I did have to go into system preferences and turn off “overscan” for the monitor in order to see the dock and desktop surface appropriately.As other reviewers have noted, the Anker does get hot during use. But, I have checked it when the M1 is sleeping, on stand-by or while the screen saver is running and it is barely warm so I am not concerned. To be super safe, I managed to arrange the various wires at my desk so the Anker could hang in the air versus heating any surfaces it might be lying on.I’m happy it came with a storage bag and is small enough I can throw it in my travel bag and take with me on trips. I’ll probably buy another one and leave at my cottage. I’m very happy with the product.

    I have a 13-inch Macbook Pro from work, the kind with only Thunderbolt USB-c ports.This hub allows me to connect the Macbook to one monitor, multiple USB peripherals, and to Ethernet, all via one port.Anker’s build quality is exemplary as always

    This is an excellent product. The build quality is great and it has a small footprint. I have a surface pro 7 plus with a terabyte SSD but the usb power output of the surface pro’s are very limited. With this Anker device, you do not need a Microsoft Surface Dock 2 that will cost you a fortune. The Anker costs but a fraction of that, is way less bulky and allows you to connect an external screen and two large SSD drives to move files around, there is also a ethernet input connection (and a wired printer).I bought this to for work and travel and I have a surface dock 2 at home that I am seriously thinking of selling to buy another Anker and put money in my pockets.
