This BlueDriver is amazing, just like all the other reviewers stated! So for I cleared the check engine code on my 2015 Dodge Durango Citadel. With the check engine light on it would prevent me from using the remote start, and we still have snow on the ground. By diagnosing an issue with the fuel door and clearing the fault it allowed me to start using the remote again.Next, I checked on a check engine light on a 2003 Chevy Tracker finding out it is a thermostat issue that can be changed at home without going to the garage for it.So, so far I would say this unit has paid for itself in droves, saving at least $500 within 15 minutes of diagnosing! It does take a few minutes to pair the unit to my Samsung, once that was completed you can connect to the phone within the BlueDriver app, in the top right corner “connect”, relatively a short learning curve to connect with a ton of data at your disposal.

Emailed Lemur and asked about supports last year and told me to check the “upcoming update” not updates yet still no support for Windows mobile and gui remains the same with round analogue display accompanying small digital display in live mode is kinda dull and not much customization where it select the colour itself and sometimes makes it harder to use. Why can’t I switch which colours that best for me. When plugged in – it fells as it going to fall off but it stays, it just doesn’t secure enough.Update: June 6, 2018Last month I notice extra sensors supported live data on my car that I didn’t know It could by mistake. Some of the New sensor showing Fuel Level Input, Evap. System Vapor Pressure, Catalyst Temperature Sensor, Control Module Voltage (I think battery charging system), Command Equival. Ratio. Only thing I couldn’t get is the Engine Oil sensor.I also updated to five star because of Lemur update support.

Works perfectly on my 2016 Jeep Wrangler JKU.Had a transmission issue for over a year and the 8000 dollar dealer scanner could not find it left me driving my new Jeep around very unhappy. This unit found the problem in 5 minutes and the dealer went ahead and repaired on the codes this unit provided and now my transmission is working perfectly.Everyone should have one for the price it can save a lot of heart ache. I wish I had it before I bought my Jeep to test it first and my Jeep was new off the lot.I have helped my friends out as well and it makes excellent reports.Go Canada!!!

First of all, I am not a BlueDriver employee; I am a user … and I hate inaccurate reviews.I read a review where someone was upset that Bluedriver did not detect a failing battery.OBDII scanners are not used to detect batteries that are failing!!OBDII scanners are an interface to the computers (yes, most vehicles have more than one) which in turn interface to many sensors throughout your vehicle. An OBDII scanner can report battery voltage, but not condition! A low rating because a product doesn’t do something it was never designed to do is dumb!On the other side of the spectrum, there are reviews that compare this to a professional garage scanner … Bluedriver is not that either. For example, I had an issue with my 2007 Yukon air bag sensor that it could not read and had to go to a garage to get it scanned. But in all fairness, Bluedriver is a fraction of the price.I have used cheap retail scanners and ELM327 based scanners; at about $100 for hardware and software, Bluedriver is in a sweet spot for the home mechanic in terms of cost versus what it provides. You can easily recoup the cost with a single repair. The software is easy to navigate and use. It also provides diagnostic help when you get an Engine code and will typically identify the sensor that you likely need to replace.Generally speaking, I find Bluedriver a very good value.

Received this unit yesterday. Plugged it in and it took me a few tries to get it ‘connected’ to Bluetooth. It finally did so I ran the scan. It took a minute to scan the vehicle and came up with a possible problem (fluid sensor) in my master cylinder. I’m going to change it and see what happens. I’m pretty sure that’s why my light is on.I didn’t clear anything yet, I’ll wait and see if the new part fixes the problem. So far so good. :)If you figure one visit to the garage is a minimum of $80… this little unit is already paid off. :)Great money saver if your handy.

Good product to find out problems before getting ripped off by garage. Also good to know if a used car has problems before purchase. The app is simple to use. I would have given it a five star rating if it weren’t for the following; The only disappointment or con that irked me was under vehicle specs the only thing this product picked up was the VIN, year and brand of car, not even the model? No specs like where car was made, motor, transmission etc… Disappointed because this was what tipped the balance for me to buy it as it was suppose to carry info for Toyota as so stated on their site. Contacted support but they just gave me an answer that was of no help. Seems I have to wait for Edmunds or some such to update their data bank for a popular car that is already 7 years old?

I bought this to clear airbag code after doing an after market stereo installation on a 2013 Mitsubishi RVR and a 2013 Jeep Compass. This little thing worked flawlessly and confirmed that I had no other codes present.I was hesitant after reading some of the negative reviews but the positive reviews were good so I figured I would give it a try. A couple of notes based on what I saw in a few negative reviews that I read.1) You must update the device first – when I first connected in the Bluetooth options of the phone it showed that it was connected but the app showed “no device connected”. Then I went to update – check for updates – and it said there was an update. After the update completed, the app showed that the device was connected etc.2) The lights only blink when you first connect the device, then they turn off to minimize power consumption. So just because the lights aren’t blinking anymore, doesnt mean there is a problem.3) If nothing starts blinking when you plug in the device, then there is no power – either you have a blown fuse or you may have forgotten to re-connect the battery…4) This device cannot analyze something arbitrarily (for example your battery). It is only as good as the sensors and modules that your manufacturer has built into the car. I saw a one star review that was mad because this didn’t tell the guy he had a bad battery and a few week later he was stranded on the side of the road lol. You dont buy a tire pressure gauge and then put it into you glove box and then get mad at the gauge because it didn’t automatically notify you that one of your tires had a leak.

This little thing does excellent job, I had ABS and Traction lights come up on the dash of our 2012 Grand Caravan and I was looking some reliable and affordable scanner, since recommended by two famous YouTubers (Christfix and Scotty) I wend and bought BlueDriver, took few minutes to figure out what was the problem (Right Rear Abs speed sensor failure: see the picture ), took to Chrysler today and they confirmed the same code and replaced the RR ABS speed sensor, this is just amazing little gadget, Credit to Canadian Engineers, would definitely recommended.

Amazing! This is the most incredible device and has already saved me money.Easy to use even for the novice mechanic. I panicked when my engine light came on, dreaded going to the service centre to diagnose the light for $99 and then who knows what they would “find “ wrong with the vehicle on top of it. So when a quick google search showed me the BlueDriver I thought why not?! So pleased I purchased it . I down loaded the Bluedriver app on my phone , inserted BlueDriver into my cars computer system and voila ! Nothing to panic about it was simply a loose gas cap! The App is so easy to use and has fantastic features such as ProTips to offer advice , an in-app flashlight to easily turn your phone’s light on, read codes, clear codes, store reports for future reference and more! A must for all drivers and is a great Christmas gift too !

By way of background information on OBD II scanners, in December 2017, I bought a RioRand RS310 to determine the cause of the engine MIL on my 2013 Chrysler Town & Country Limited. I wrote a review of it here, because it didn’t work on my vehicle: https://www.amazon.ca/gp/customer-reviews/R21EWAB58IKJ73/ref=cm_cr_getr_d_rvw_ttl?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B00X6YRK46 . The problem with OBD II scanners is that you would THINK they would be universal, but they’re NOT, and those who sell them often have no idea whether or not the scanner will communicate with your vehicle. The answer is research: google the scanner, google your vehicle, look at YouTube videos, look for reviews at Amazon and elsewhere in which someone says it worked for them on the same vehicle make, model, and year that you have; otherwise, you’re rolling the dice.I was reluctant to purchase this BlueDriver, mostly because of my negative experience with the RioRand, and partly because it looked “gimmicky” to me. What could a little thing like this do for me, I wondered? Well, I can tell you, this is no gimmick. The free software download to pair with the device, along with their website and the multiple systems it checks on your vehicle, all contribute to a VERY IMPRESSIVE PRODUCT. Check Google, watch the multiple YouTube videos posted by those who have purchased this unit: in use, it’s every bit as impressive (and more) as it looks in every YouTube video you’ll see. Their website and 24/7 customer support is second to none.I can’t tell you whether or not it will work for your make/model/year of vehicle, but I’m sure if you go to their website and contact them, they will be pleased to tell you. What I CAN tell you, with certainty, is that it worked perfectly on a 2013 Chrysler Town & Country Limited. If you have this vehicle make/model/year, or its sister Dodge Grand Caravan of the same year, this product should perform brilliantly for you.My advice: when you’re preparing to purchase an OBD II scanner, do some serious research before you buy one, or you’ll end up with a paperweight, like the RioRand I bought last December………
